Goodbye Blog!

This just came over me and I didn't have to think long to decide.

I think my blogging days has run its course and I don't feel the urge to write here anymore.

Besides, there are lots of things that I want to say that I can't write here.

So, I've decided a few minutes ago that I'll close this blog.
Well, I hoped that by the time I chose an apt picture I would've changed my mind but I guessed wrong.

If you've gotten used to my style of writing, you may discover a similar style blog somewhere, sometime, in this stratosphere.

This blog has gone through several phases and it's served me well.

To all my readers, thank you for taking time from your lives to read this space of mine. I hope I've provided you with a laugh or two over the years.

To my anonymous readers, if you've been following this blog for some reason and you'd like to read more of what I write, drop me an email at m_ass_b@yahoo.com.sg
I'd be glad to hear from you and update you with anything that might just pop up.

I would love to close this with a quote or poem or something, but I think I'll just leave this as is.

This has been Lecter at A Life More Than Ordinary.

Things can only go uphill from here, ladies and gentlemen.

Goodbye.

Found Yours?

Picture taken at Pentas 2, KLPAC by Adila

And then it struck me one day...

I've finally reached that one point in my life where I'm not crushing on anyone, not falling head over heels over someone or going through stupid, pathetic "does she or does she not?" moments.

It feels really good, really.

No unnecessary distractions or emotional baggage allows me to focus on one thing, my craft.
I noticed that I've been much more driven (which also means a lot of people have been bugged by me lately) and am able to produce results better, faster.

Long story short, after having to endure NS for 2 years, I'm in a position where I can enjoy doing what I love doing. Boy, is it great!

I've found happiness doing what I'm meant to do. Have you found yours?

Change

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin.

The Times They Are A-Changin - Bob Dylan

What awaits beyond the tracks I do not know.
What I do know is that change is coming.

Things won't be like before anymore.
Things will take a turn for the better.

Watch closely.
Watch out world.
Watch it.

This is a force to be reckoned with. :)

Blink - Day 13 - Blink

In a couple of blinks, Ramadan passed and now, after a couple more blinks, it's thirteen days into Hari Raya. The past thirteen days has been mighty cozy and family time amidst the marking of exam scripts.

This year's celebrations have been a little subdued with the passing of my maternal grandfather quietly and suddenly about exactly a month ago. Therefore, it's been no surprise that there's been a bit more family time during the first two weeks of Hari Raya.

There have been a lot more conversations with cousins, a lot more hugs from the aunts and words of wisdom from the uncles. All that aside, this year's, there's been a mighty lot of children all around. Sure the food has been glorious all around, the children have been tops. There have been lots of laughter and moments that make children, well, children.

I'm really glad I have a mighty big family and I'm happy that family time on my side is extended to at least a good two weeks. In this year of somewhat muted celebrations, I guess this feels about right. And for good measure, somehow, I failed to snap any pictures from this year's celebrations despite bringing the darned thing along. Guess the moments are meant to be kept where they ought to be kept, in our hearts.
